The meaning of the Olympics

The Olympics are many things to many people; the hard work, the blood, sweat, and tears—all of that cliche stuff.

Also, this?

Looks like they wanted to keep lots of people from going home with more than a medal. If they didn’t, I imagine they would have to open up the ‘gold’ express lane at the clinic.

I guess the Olympics is all about love. Hah!

The Olympics are about creating a sense of global camaraderie. It makes sense that those who are the best in the world in competition would also be the best in building bonds.

My high school mascot was the Trojans, and we were thus made fun of appropriately. One of the guys on the track team a few years a head of me made up some catchy t-shirts one year. There was a picture of a condom man running, with the team name “The Runnin Rubbers” at the top. The tag-line of “We breed for speed” finished the quality shirt only someone from Homedale could dream up. I’m guessing the Olympic athletes give the phrase “we breed for speed” and whole new meaning.
